Kokoro Issue 41
November 27, 2018Instructors Calendar
July 17, 2023Most Karataka seek and find inspiration from their instructors without realising that they too are inspiring others. Through your strong spirit, hard training, big Osu and loud Kiai, you inspire and encourage your fellow Karataka to push themselves that little bit harder and give that extra 5% to their training which might not have been given if you had not been there.
A Dojo filled with students (and instructors) with strong spirit is an energy which cannot be found through any other activity. Do not take the selfish path and rely on others to create the energy to lift your training.
Wither it be a kids class, adult class, beginner or advanced, we all find reasons why not to train at some time or another. Sometimes our energy is needed in other aspects of our lives and naturally your Karate will take second place. No one should question you about this. But when procrastination sets in and excuses are being made for reasons not to train, then the questions need to be asked by you, with the answers only coming from within.
There are so many that unfortunately are unable to train due to health problems. Some people would love the opportunity to be able to go for a simple walk or even take some fresh air. We are blessed that we are able to train our bodies hard in a special place we call our dojo.
Please realize your responsibility to others, and through your strong spirit and consistent hard training, no matter what grade, continue to inspire all. You make a difference.
